I'm dressed to kill, and you know that I will
We're dancing in the dark, with my hands around your heart
Oh, heads will roll and blood will spill
But how can you resist, when baby, I am dressed to kill?
-Cher, "Dressed to Kill"

The Toreador of the Sabbat are the dark side of life.  They're the little black dress you starve yourself anorexic to fit into, because it's to die for.  They're the obsession that kills you by inches, but you can't quit them.  The boyfriend who steals your money, the girlfriend who beats you, but they love you, really.

The Toreador are known for a broad streak of inspired cruelty. The Toreador Antitribu are especially cruel. They can't help it; it's in the blood. From the night of the embrace, even the kindest soul, once turned, finds themselves prone to words and actions designed to hurt.

Some say the Pervs' curse is a twist of the blood that evolved after the clan joined the Sabbat.  The Pervs claim that their nasty streak reflects the true nature of the Toreador Antediluvian, who they name Ishtar, the goddess of love and war.  Her actions in the Epic of Gilgamesh, they claim, are a factual retelling and not in the least bit exaggerrated.  When she wakes up, the world's going to be one big game of Lemmings, as kine throw themselves off of cliffs in the hopes of pleasing the meanest bitch ever to walk the face of the earth.

To wit, all shall love her... and despair.

Paths of Enlightenment:

Many Toreador Antitribu give in to the hate. They become the Sabbat's S&M torturer-priests, finding a niche where they can inflict agony and pay the bills doing it. These are the Pervs you find following Cathari or Death and the Soul or even the Feral Heart, and when they become old and powerful they're capable of heartless acts that make Lasombra turn away.

Others refuse to let their hateful curse become their master. They follow Honorable Accord and the Path of Redemption, seeking to counter every evil impulse with an iron resolve or an act of faith. In some ways these are the most dangerous Toreador Antitribu--you never know how they're going to react.

"I am the world's first fully-functioning homicidal artist. I make art--until someone dies."
-The Joker, Batman (1989)
